Format your email

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app .
2. In the bottom right, tap Compose .
3. Add text to your message.

6. You can use formatting options to undo or redo changes, add bullet points, change your font, highlight or strikethrough text, and more.

Block an email address

When you block a sender, messages they send you will go to your Spam folder.

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app .
2. Open the message.
3. In the top right of the message, tap More .
4. Tap Block [sender].

If you blocked someone by mistake, you can unblock them using the same steps.

Unsubscribe from mass emails

If you signed up on a site that sends lots of emails, like promotions or newsletters, you can use the unsubscribe link to stop getting these emails. When you’ve received a lot of email from a sender that you haven’t opened for awhile , Gmail may suggest that you unsubscribe from that list.

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app .
2. Open an email from the sender you want to unsubscribe from.
