How to Turn On Google My Business Messaging Feature
You can now turn on messaging:
Google My Business App ( it was the only way)
- Open the GMB app on your Android or Apple
- Press on “Customers”
- On the pop-up box press “Turn on messaging”
Google My Business Account Dashboard(New way)
- Sign in to your Google My Business Account
- Press on “Messages” in the left-hand side menu
- Press on “Turn on messaging”
Google Maps App (New way)
- Open the Google Maps app
- Press on “Updates” on the bottom
- Next press on the “Messages” Button
- Choose the “Business” section
- Press on “Settings”
- Then “Turn on messaging”
See and Respond to customer messages on Google My Business
You can now see and respond to Google My Business customers’ messages:
Google Maps app(New way)
- Open the Google Maps app
- Press on “Updates” on the bottom
- Next press on the “Messages” Button
- Choose the “Business” section
Google My Business Account Dashboard(New way)
- Sign in to your Google My Business Account
- Press on “Messages” in the left-hand side menu
- Choose the message on the left you wish to reply to
- Type your message on the bottom
Google Search “My Business” Dashboard(New way)
Using Google Search Profile Dashboard under “Customers” (not available yet)
- Go to Google
- Input “My Business” and press search
- Press on the “Customers” page
This means for the first time we will be able to use a computer to respond to messages instead of using the mobile, finally!
How Customers can message you
- Press Message/Quote Button on your Google My Business Profile (it was the only way)
- Start a conversation from any of your GMB Post
- Google Maps App » Update section
- They try to call you and you don’t answer, they will be prompted to send a message
